Summary: From before we even left PA we had frequent communication with our hosts. Their knowledge and responsiveness eliminated any trepidation around our first trip to Central America.
Marvin and Lillian met us with kindness, humor, and welcoming smiles. When we arrived at the rental, we were very pleased by how clean, and well appointed it is. They even stocked the kitchen with essentials, including plenty of bottled water, so that we didfeel pressed to hurry to any of the various markets that are within walking distance.
The verandah was spacious, gated, and included a large hammock from which we could comfortably enjoy the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
Our hosts are experts in hospitality and they also shared an astounding wealth of the local geography as well as attractions and tours available in local villages, and throughout the countryside. Honestly, though we tried not to 'bug' them too much, there was not a care or concern that Marvin or Lillian could not address.
The food in the area, and downtown was phenomenal! Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and filling. All of the service we received at every venue was friendly and professional.
This home is a perfect launching point for short stays between tours, relaxing vacation time with family, or exploration in and around the town.
We can hardly wait to return to the area for a longer stay, and we are looking forward to seeing our hosts again who felt like friends after a very short time.
